2019 Mourvèdre

Richly colored, tannic and fruit forward (think blackberries, black cherry and dried strawberries) mor-VED-dra (French) is actually a native of Spain where it is known as Monastrell (mo-NAS-tre). Most traditionally used as a blending grape Mourvèdre has found its legs in Texas and is fast becoming a wine of choice with meals featuring poultry or pork.
