2017 Blue Moon Tannat
Derives its French name from its high tannin levels. It is a thick-skinned grape variety that produces deeply colored, well-structured wines that can be tough and austere in youth. However, with aging the, massive tannins round out while the wine develops nuances of spices, coffee, cocoa, and vanilla.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Blueberries, plums and leather tease the senses with boysenberry, black cherries and herbal components on the palate. Medium acidity, well-structured tannins and a big, chewy texture fade into a lengthy finish.
Food Pairing Notes
Smoked pork loin served with seasoned, hand cut fries. This wine cries out to be shared with a big bold Texas-sized steak or prime rib.
